Hi Jaden thanks for your input. The jack I have is a switchcraft stereo barrel type. There are two connector tips on the base of the jack. So what you are saying is that I just solder to those tips and it will be wired for both stereo (y cable for connecting 2 amps for example) and mono (1 amp using a standard guitar cable).
